Waypoint Mental Health Centre: InSPIRE 2025 Conference Media
Scope
Event photography | Wrap video production | Leadership interviews | Conference marketing assets
Overview
Waypoint engaged us to document and support their first InSPIRE conference since before the pandemic — a major milestone in reconnecting mental health professionals, researchers, and system leaders across Ontario. The mission was twofold: to create compelling media for post-event storytelling and future promotion, and to use the gathering as a rare opportunity to film interviews with Waypoint’s leadership and project teams.
Creative Roles
I served as producer and director for all aspects of the engagement. Working with photographer Reece Kloosterman and videographer Shawn Duford, we captured the full event — including keynote presentations, panel discussions, and candid moments throughout the day. I also led the setup and facilitation of structured interviews with organizational leaders, ensuring each conversation supported broader strategic messaging for future use.
Approach
The production was designed to be low-touch from the client side while maximizing content capture. We deployed a flexible crew and lean gear setup to document the conference in real time, while reserving space on-site for interviews with board members, executive leadership, and frontline staff. The wrap video was edited with a focus on energy, clarity, and insight — balancing event highlights with soundbites that reflect Waypoint’s mission and values.
Outcome
Delivered assets included a 3-minute event wrap video, full-resolution photography set for internal and external use, and a bank of evergreen interviews to support future storytelling. The media suite now serves as both a record of a successful return to in-person convening and a toolkit for future conference marketing and stakeholder engagement.
