Waypoint at Home
Scope
Healthcare video production | Interviews | Multi-location production | Cinematography | Motion graphics | Award submission film
Overview
Working with Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care, we produced a short film highlighting Waypoint at Home, an innovative community-based program supporting patients as they transition from hospital back into their homes and communities.
Developed to support an award submission, the film combines interviews with Waypoint staff and documentary-style footage to demonstrate how the program extends care beyond the hospital setting.
Creative Roles
I served as producer and director, leading the project from story development through production and post-production.
Filming took place across hospital and residential settings, combining interviews with staged and observational footage illustrating the patient journey, in-home support and the team behind the program.
Approach
With a short production timeline, the focus was on communicating the model quickly and clearly while keeping the people behind the work at the centre of the story.
Interviews, cinematic B-roll and motion graphics were brought together to explain how Waypoint at Home supports continuity of care and a more successful transition back into the community.
Outcome
The finished film provides Waypoint with a concise, human-centred overview of the program and its impact, developed initially for an award submission while remaining useful for broader communications and stakeholder engagement.
