Huronia Transition Homes: Project B.A.S.E. Animation Series
Scope
Animated educational series | Safety and empowerment | Bilingual delivery (EN/FR)
Overview
Project B.A.S.E. (Building Accessible Supports and Education) is a program by Huronia Transition Homes supporting youth and adult education around sexual violence, healthy relationships, and power dynamics — with a special focus on both civilian and military communities at CFB Borden. To help deliver these sensitive topics in an accessible and engaging format, we produced a 7-part animation series in both English and French (14 videos total).
Creative Roles
I led the project from start to finish — directing, producing, supervising scripts, managing translations, and overseeing all animation and post-production. The goal was to create a visual learning tool that could support workshop-based learning while standing on its own across a range of community and institutional settings.
Approach
Working closely with the HTH team, we adapted key workshop themes into short, approachable animations that blended character-based storytelling with clear educational framing. Each episode was carefully paced and designed to reflect trauma-informed practices, with inclusive visual language and voiceover delivery tailored to youth and newcomer audiences.
