MacLean Engineering: HazPak #9 Time-lapse Build
Scope
Industrial time-lapse | Manufacturing documentation | Social media assets
Overview
This project documented the full 4-month build of HazPak #9, MacLean Engineering’s innovative recycling unit, at their Owen Sound manufacturing facility. Using a multi-camera time-lapse system and scheduled milestone site visits, we developed both a long-form time-lapse film and a high-impact social teaser — capturing the scale, precision, and process of industrial fabrication.
Creative Roles
I managed all aspects of production: camera installation, milestone scheduling, B-roll capture, client communication, and post-production. The goal was to create a low-touch, high-results solution for the client — integrating seamlessly into the plant’s operations without disrupting workflow.
Approach
The project was designed around long-form transformation: fixed cameras tracked the full duration of the build, while scheduled site visits allowed us to highlight key process stages with cinematic footage. From weld-up to paint to final wrap, we delivered a visual narrative that celebrates both engineering expertise and manufacturing scale.
Deliverables Built for Impact
• Long-form time-lapse film for presentations and internal showcase
• Social teaser for external promotion and awareness
• Full-resolution B-roll library for future marketing use
